The Delta Airlines UMNR policy requires every child of age between 5 to 14 as well as traveling alone to fall under the Airlines UMNR policy. In addition, the policy also includes some more rules & regulations.

• Minors who are traveling unaccompanied domestically must be issued the fare of an adult. For international flights, the UMNR would be charged 75% of the adult’s fare.
• The parents or guardians who want to avail of the UMNR program services for their children aged 15-17 can also apply for the policy.
• The UMNR children can not be accompanied by the person who came to drop them off beyond the security area.
• Delta offers a lounge for only kids named Delta Sky Zone. The lounge also offers games as well as unlimited food & drinks for the kids.
• Delta Airlines makes it mandatory that only parents/guardians of the children can purchase a ticket for them.

Age Requirements for UMNR Policy in Delta Airlines

Minors up to 4 years

Delta Airlines does not allow children younger than 4 years of age to travel alone. These minors will have to be escorted by an adult.

Minors aged 5-7 years

Delta Airlines does allow children aged 5-7 to travel unaccompanied but they are only allowed to travel on direct flights. Minors of this age group can not choose to fly on connecting flights as well as international flights with some exceptional cases

Minors aged 8-14 years

Minors under the age group of 8-14 are allowed to travel on both non-stop as well as connecting flights. Children of this age group can also fly on international flights.

Minors Aged 15-17 years

Delta UMNR policy does not make it mandatory for children aged 15-17 to use its services but if the parents/guardians want to enroll their minors of this age group to become under the UMNR policy, they can also apply for it & the same services will be provided to the children.
